Research Interests - Stereochemistry

Research interests in the area of stereochemistry focus specifically on an examination of steric effects in reactions between chiral amines and acid anhydrides. Preparation of the anhydrides for this study led to an interest in tautomerism in certain anhydrides which is evidenced by a thermochromic effect. A second research interest is the separation and identification of organic pollutants in the environment.
