Research Interests

Current research in my laboratory focuses on the fabrication, modification, characterization and application of nanoscale materials. Because of their small size, nanomaterials manifest extremely fascinating and useful properties which can be exploited for a variety of applications. We intend to integrate these materials (specifically conducting polymers, carbon nanotubes and metal oxide nanowires) into functional devices with specific applications in chemical sensing, biomedical sensing and remediation of heavy metals and other toxins from the environment.
