Hello...Welcome to the Ozark Local Section Home Page. Our section covers most of Southwest Missouri. Major academic institutions in the area include Drury College, Evangel College, Missouri State University, Ozark Technical College--all of Springfield; Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar; and College of the Ozarks, Hollister.

We meet regularly at Missouri State University. We utilize ACS tour speakers and usually follow the lecture with a relaxing dinner.

The Ozark Section participates in National Chemistry Week each year. We support Expanding Your Horizons, a conference to encourage young women to consider careers in science. We also support the regional science fair by awarding prizes to the students with the best chemistry projects. In addition a prize is also given to the students' schools.
