Admission Requirements
The chemistry department accepts and encourages all students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry education.
To begin course work in chemistry education, you initially need to be admitted to Missouri State. Before completing 75 credit hours, you must also be admitted to a degree program.
Declaring your major
You can officially declare or change your major as chemistry education in unified or categorical science by visiting the Academic Advising and Transfer Center located in University Hall, Room 109. For more information, contact the Academic Advising and Transfer Center at 417-836-5258.
Apply to this program
- Apply to the chemistry program by completing an application to a degree program form, available in the chemistry department office, located in Temple Hall, Room 423.
- Schedule a meeting with your advisor to complete the form, evaluate your transcripts and review your degree audit.
- Turn in the completed application to the chemistry program department head, located in Temple Hall, Room 423.
- After the department head has verified and accepted you for admission into the program, you must take the completed form to the office of the registrar, located in Carrington Hall, Room 320.
